About Taghini
The language of Taghini is spoken by the Tøkat (pronounced as /tuket/), a race of long-living, giant-winged humanoids whose populations once numbered alongside the humans. However, due to their near endangerment, they have fled to remote, often unreachable mountains across the Oceanic region.
Over time, they have borrowed elements from neighbouring Central-Eastern Oceanic languages, and -- combining it with the now-lost primitive, vowel-exclusive language of their ancestors -- developed a very human-esque language through the generations.
Many of the words that did not naturally evolve through the Taghini language have been borrowed from many other Central Pacific languages, such as: Hawaiian, Mangaian, Maori, Penrhyn, Rarotongan, Samoan, among others.
