The culture of  Terviskani has designated fire, water, soil, air, and metal as the five classical elements. Each of the historical five clans claimed to represent one of them. Iklagi chose fire, representing their devotion to their religion, Kemie claimed water representing the snow throughout the land, Manermün got soil, symbolizing the Manermün, a river with a lot of sediment, Osunake had air, due to their trading ships being moved by the wind, and Tertasjal was metal, with a large mine near the base of the mountains.
