The New Camp Language Association's scale takes into account factors such as relative morphology, grammar, and phonological requirements, as well as commonly learned languages. The scale used here is based on a native English speaker, although many more in European and Infernorian languages have been released officially.
[edit] [top]Class 1 Languages

Class 1 refers to any language which can be learned and used proficiently within a year. These languages include many of the Western GNI languages, such as Mugmur and Hama, which have simpler grammar systems than other GNI languages. Languages in Class 1 typically are fusional or lightly agglutinative in nature, and employ relatively small case and aspect systems. Depending on interpretation, Byjan is either considered Class 1 or Class 2.
[edit] [top]Class 2 Languages

Class 2 refers to any language which can be learned and used proficiently within one and a half to two years of diligent study. These languages include the rest of the GNI languages, like Sesian and Tugaran (as well as Byjan more often than not; see above note). Class 2 languages typically are at mild to average levels of agglutinativity, but never to the extreme of polysynthesis.
[edit] [top]Class 3 Languages

Class 3 refers to any language which can be learned in two to three years of diligent study. They include the Kybic languages, such as Zuryuttic and any of its dialects. The Kybic languages represent an intermediate difficulty between the GNI languages and the vast array of isolates and highly agglutinative languages beyond.
