Ensarkonism is a monohypostatic branch of Christianity that has been seen as a heresy. It originated from the Principality of Sealand( Plattdytch: De Firstendom von Seeland).

Ensarkonism maintains that there's only one God. The Father(Jehovah), the Son(Jesus), and sometimes the Holy Spirit are the "Ensarks"(i.e. avatars. literally "embodiments") of the same God, therefore the God has one and only one hypostasis, instead of three distinct hypostases within the Godhead, and the thought that there are three distinct hypostases within the Godhead is actually tritheism, not monotheism, therefore the mainstream explanation of trinity is actually a tritheistic heresy and should be rejected.(however, the Holy Spirit is usually not seen as an "Ensark" but the God himself)

Another problem that leads Ensarkonism away from traditional Christian belief is the identity of Melchizedek. Melchizedek is a figure that is said to be “ Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.”(Hebrews 7:3), which shows that Melchizedek is not a creation, therefore Melchizedek would be the God; but on the other hand, no bible verses indicate that Melchizedek is either the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit, and Jesus is “ a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek”(Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 7:17), rather than Melchizedek himself, other notions also rejects that Melchizedek is the Son, but also hints that Melchizedek is like the Son, therefore Melchizedek must be another form of the God, and the traditional belief of trinity is therefore wrong.

In Ensarkonism, the original form of God is called The Word( Plattdytch: De Word), also called Logos. The statement of John 1:1 that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." is often cited as a basis for this. Most Ensarkonist theologists maintain that the Holy Spirit is the same as The Word, that is, the Holy Spirit is the original form of God, therefore "the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven"(Matthew 12:31), and therefore "all things were made by him(The Word, or the Holy Spirit); and without him was not any thing made that was made."(John 1:3), and while the Holy Spirit usually stays behind the "ensarks", he can proceed from the "Ensarks"; however, a minority of view maintain that the Holy Spirit is another "Ensark" of God, and is not the original form of God. Ensarkonist theologists also hold that Melchizedek is another “Ensark” of God, and Melchizedek was later cited as an example that God has other “Ensarks“ other than the Father and the Son.

In later stages, in response to Asian religions, Ensarkonism expanded the belief and made claims that the deities of East Asian peoples and other peoples, like Amitābha and Amaterasu, are also some other "Ensarks" of the God, creating a syncretism between Christianity, Buddhism and traditional East Asian beliefs; also starting in the 20th century, Ensarkonism also made a claim that "God is "the word", words do not have sex themselves, therefore the God does not have a sex, and the male sex of the God in traditional Judeo-Christian belief is due to the fact that humans tend to see an authority figure as a male", as a response of thoughts of gender equality.
