About Faunese
The goals with this lang are multiple, but simple:
1. To make a lang that I like.
2. To make a lang I could use for my conpeople, the Fauns.
3. To make a lang that is at least somewhat naturalistic, unless it conflicts with #1.
The language itself was inspired by Japanese, Korean and Polynesian languages including Hawaiian. It features a lot of onomatopoeia to describe a lot of words and I often used a very subjective kind of "Kiki-Bouba" type of method to achieve words that I like. Another method I frequently use is to mash relevant vocabulary from my source languages until I get something that I like.
Faunese was made as the proto-lang for a group of sub-races of the Fauns, a race of "mino-mammals", "demi-humans", etc, etc. They basically have the lower half of a mammal, usually canines, vulpines, felines, lagomorphs, etc., and the torso of a human. The arms may or may not be covered with fur.
