About Proto-Hrido
Proto-Hrido is a fictional proto language based of Proto-Indo-European. The languages features a Animate/Inanimate system, Singular, Dual and Plural forms, and Thematic and Athematic stems.
Here are the most basic stuff you should know:
Syllable structure: Complex, C³V¹C⁴
Basic word order is SOV, although other word orders are very common.
Thematic e/o and Athematic system just like PIE including Animacy and Singular, dual and Plural forms.
There are a total of eight cases; Nominative, Genitive, Dative, Accusative, Vocative, Locative, Instrumental and Ablative.
Almost every single word has a Root which has a verbal meaning. Words are formed by attaching suffixes to form stems, and endings to form a whole word. Stems can be either Thematic or Athematic, and their Thematicacy(?), will change their inflections. This is a system I really love about Proto-Indo-European, so I decided to borrow it and make a lot of changes to it 'till it fit my language.
