About Wīrden
Wīrden is, at the moment, what I will consider to be a personal artistic language. In time, it may develop to be a fictional language as the culture I have paired with it is currently underway. This language possesses a unique character set in which each character represents a phoneme.
I originally hoped to base the language off of a designed culture that presented a group of people living on a landmass among the delta of a river that would open on the ocean. The vocabulary was originally supposed to be based off of differences between river and ocean, the ocean being the great mass that represents all knowledge and understanding while the river representing the learning that one must take in order to reach that knowledge. I suppose at this point some such progression may yet take place, but for now, I think it's more important to focus on the language rather than the culture, or they will develop at the same time.
This is the first conlang I have worked on alone and I do not as of yet possess a depth of linguistic knowledge that I might like or have in the future, so this language will be an interesting first go.
