About Unnamed
In my current WIP, alien refugees live on Earth. For the most part, they try to assimilate to their surroundings, but among themselves - and in some cases in the part human families and circles of friends they have built - they speak their own language.
It embodies both sounds and gestures and has no writing system to it, since the species is amphibic, but on their planet of origin mostly aquatic.
One of my central characters is a human member of such a family and is currently learning the language.
Seeing, as I have clearly written "language" too much, I really need to name this thing.
