About Uyaki
This language is spoken across some islands in the pacific ocean. It is a mix of Croatian and Tagalog
Features:
Phonetic -
V's in Croatian sometimes correspond to b
F's in Croatian always are turned into p in Uyaki
A turns into á at times
I is a /ɘ/ when followed by certain consonants
Vowels could be nasalised in spoken language
Grammar -
Aorist is no longer existent
Past tense could be formed by adding the particle "mada"
The default word order is SOV
The conjugation for "to be" is regular in written language(Já bitam Ti bitat Si bita) but irregular in spoken language(Já on, Ti ot, Si on; 1st person is as same as 3rd person)
All genders are merged except for feminine words ending in -a
Vocative case merged with genitive, locative case merged with dative
Adjectives now take the same endings as nouns
Adjectives always come after the noun
The numbers don't reflect the noun case or gender(does not apply to words derived from numbers)
Perfect tense formed by adding (to be) (verb)-nuti/nnuti/nti(informal)
Example: I eat - Já jem/Má kám/Ko kám I have eaten - Já biti jennuti/Má on kánnuti/Kon kánti
Verbs could be turned into a gerund/noun by adding the suffix čča, (for nouns it would be ččaju so that the noun is masculine not feminine)
