About Sarinan Cape Creole
During the XV century, Portugueses settled in the South-West of Retenia and trade with coastal populations who spoke forms of Baamin, Razanian, Tekhuma, South westerns Retenian dialects. Later, when the portugueses took the entire control of South-Western Retenia, they imported populations from the interior of South-West Retenia that spoke dialects closes to the modern Standard Retenian and also from Ujur region (West) but also from other Portuguese colonies. This gives birth to a pidgin that was spoken in the entire coast of South-Western Retenia. However, during the XVIII century, due to the progression of Standard Retenian and Portuguese languages among the population, this pidgin begin to disappear.
One of the few places where this pidgin not disappeared and became a Creole is the Sarinan Peninsula where it still spoken by 38 000 peoples
