Halel lacks true negation, and instead uses either a negated pronoun, which basically means "this did not happen," or "I/you/they were not a part of this," but does not negate the whole phrase, or an alternative verb. A few verbs have one to one correspondance, such as kana and la'sa (to be and not to be), but for the most part to truly express something like "I do not write letters," you would have to say something like "I avoid letters" or "I leave letters be." ✎ Edit Article ✖ Delete Article
