Tlarak uses a vertical, left-to-right writing system. Individual words are read diagonally from left to right as letters alternate on either side of a "trunk" structure, making them appear to look like trees.
First, the trunk, generally a more-or-less-straight vertical line, is drawn. The first letter is drawn on the top left side, the second slightly below it on the right side, and so on until the end of the word.
"Tlarak" in Tlarak script
Tlarak is an alphabetical script, with one letter representing each sound, including vowels. There is no punctuation in Tlarak script; however, Romanized translations may employ it for the sake of clarity. Sentences are written in vertical columns, and generally set apart by being written to the right of the previous sentence in order to separate it. ✎ Edit Article ✖ Delete Article
