About Hwautto Whautto is a language spoken by a culture of people who form personal connections with dragons (`a la Dragonriders of Pern) in a modern setting.

Some features of the language:
  • Ejective stops and a series of voiceless sonorants, but no bilabials
  • Three genders: feminine, masculine, and neuter, with many nouns that have arbitrary/non-semantic gender
  • Thirteen different cases: 6 structural, 4 locational, and 3 causal
  • Split-S morphosyntactic alignment, with intransitive verbs categorized as Active or Inactive depending on whether their subjects take agentive or patientive case
  • Default word order AVP
  • Written using an adapted form of the Georgian alphabet (and also romanized)
  • Tends towards the isolating side by having few morphemes per word
